Yesterday the Internet was burning up – with reports that Love & Hip Hop’s Erica Mena and Safaree broke up.

MTO News can report that the entire “break up” was done as part off a new storyline for the upcoming season of Love & Hip Hop Miami.

Both Safaree and Erica have recently signed on to join the Florida based reality show – and they’re looking to bring drama this season.

Also signed on to the cast of Love & Hip Hop Miami is Gabrielle Davis – the alleged side chick in the Erica and Safaree drama.

Love & Hip Hop Miami was rumored to be getting cancelled, but producers found a way to get VH1 to change its mind. They added Love & Hip Hop veterans Erica and Safaree to the cast – and are guaranteeing a drama filled season.

The drama popped off this week, when Gabrielle, who is Safaree’s ex, leaked text messages showing Safaree was trying to cheat with her.

he texts went viral – and Erica was supposedly upset when she found out. Of course this is all just a VH1 reality show storyline.

In the aftermath of the texting drama – Erica uploaded a video of her destroying the “I’m sorry” flowers that Safaree sent to her. And Safaree poured his heart out on Twitter apologizing to his  estranged fiancee.

And we have proof that Erica and Safaree aren’t really apart. Here’s a video from Erica’s Instagram Live yesterday – which she has since deleted. The video was created days after the Gabrielle scandal broke,  yet Erica still refers to Safaree as “her man.”
